Product description:

This feminine eyelet scarf polishes off any outfit with a touch of whimsy. The extra-long length makes it possible to wrap in a variety of different styles.

Wool from alpacas is regarded as one of the world's greenest, most natural, and softest fibres by the fashion industry. Because of its silky and opulent feel and lower propensity to pilling, it is highly sought after. In the Peruvian highlands, this fibre is sourced from small artisanal farmers who use traditional farming methods and pay close attention to sustainability.

    Artisan Profile

The Incas and alpacas have a long history in Peru. The Incas valued alpaca wool more than gold or silver. Peru's rich textile tradition stems from generations of expertise and skill in spinning and knitting. Innovation is added to old processes without sacrificing the ethical heritage.

The alpacas are not harmed during shearing because they live in the Andean mountains without restrictions. With their soft pads, they graze without damaging the grass's root system. Alpaca is the only mammal that creates up to 28 natural colours, ranging from inky black to warm chestnuts and pristine white. It takes dyes well and retains its inherent brilliance.

Alpaca is ultra-soft, ultra-light, and ultra-supple. Alpaca is warmer and stronger than cashmere. It has small air pockets that generate lightweight, insulating clothes. It is a natural fibre that is produced without harsh chemicals.
